The Lunch Box
In October 2012, the school management replaced the standard cash registers in “The Lunch Box” with a cashless payment system. The new biometric system, which is currently being used in many schools in Ireland and the UK, requires the use of a fingerprint for users to access their account. Your daughter will benefit from this new system as it is more secure, has greater accuracy and has reduced queuing time in “The Lunch Box”.
Three cash loaders are located at different locations in the school to enable the pupils to add notes and coin values to their account in advance. There is no restriction on the amount that can be added to an account, but there is a restriction on the amount a pupil can spend each day.
