The school choir is a voluntary choir which meets once a week at lunchtime. New members are always welcome. Each year, the choir sits the Department of Education and Science Choir Examination and takes part in local concerts and choral events. The choir also leads the singing at school liturgical events.
Every two years, there is a music trip abroad. Our last trip was to Salzburg and Vienna. Previous music trips have been to Rome and Switzerland. It is hoped that we will have a trip in October 2009.
Our Lady`s College has a school orchestra. All are welcome to join. Just like the school choir, each year the orchestra sits the Department of Education and Science Choir Examination. In order to encourage students to join the orchestra, the school offers violin and viola lessons for a small fee. Also, students can rent an instrument for a small fee.

Traditional Music Group
The Traditional Music Group meets once a week, currently at lunchtimes on Thursdays in the Music Room. The group is led by Mr. O`Connell and Mr. Walsh and includes more teachers and students from all years. The sessions are good craic and a great way to practice old tunes and learn new ones. The group plays at various times in the school year, whenever there is a céilí or other musical event. Beginners are alsways welcome to come along on Thursdays and join in.
